I have been asked to pen music quizzes on several occasions, the most popular of which was Rock ‘n’ Roll High School Music Quiz for a pub in Hampstead. The brief was for a guitar-based music quiz on a Tuesday evening, which found me completely in my element and I called upon my in-depth knowledge hair metal, indie, blues and good old rock and roll for content. The life span of the quiz itself was about eight months, but it generated so much interest that I am still contacted regularly to put on this specific quiz for private events. Because my musical tastes (quite publicly) span most genres, I have found myself writing different themed quizzes such as 80s, Pop, and Jazz. I quite enjoy the process of writing a music quiz, and usually employ a three-part format of a worksheet section, 40 questions, and a listening round.
